At
times, a day in the life of Matt Wilde can result in a humerous painting such
as ‘the struggle to reach great heights’ a painting that came about
after Matt had been blown every which way but the direction intended while carrying
paintings to a gallery in Liverpool. It was a really windy day and the wind
caught hold of the large painting. Matt was sure that his feet left the ground
at one point. He remembered this event and merged it with the disappointment
of narrowly missing out on the John Moores exhibition shortly after another
successful solo exhibition.
